Seriously?

...

SERIOUSLY?

/sqqueeeeeeee!!!!!!

I has a happy. :D

I supposed I should add a little more info for the none gamers out there. Neverwinter Nights is one of my favorite RPGs. DDO is one of the best online MMO's I've ever played. What do they have in common? The Dungeons and Dragons ruleset. Also, NWN is set in Forgotten Realms, the bulk of where I spent my childhood (reading). I was disappointed that Bioware elected to do ANOTHER Star Wars game/MMO instead of tapping the D&D world or even one based on the Mass Effect game. And overall, the MMO field is a little dry for me as of late (though I am having fun with EVE right now.)

BRING IT ON, D&D new MMO, bring it on. My inner (not so hidden) geek is waiting.

You realize that Bioware didn't do the first Star Wars MMO, right? that's why it got so effed up - Sony did it. that's why everyone's so excited about this new one - it should be done right.

The NWN tho... that's AWESOME. I wish it was Baldur's Gate. My fave is Baldur's gate. :x But... same realm... :D :D :D

The first NWN was truly exceptional. If they base the game off that, then it'll be great. NWN2 however, was disappointing and completely uninteresting to play. Of course, neither of them really give you the ability to play an evil character, so what's the fun in that? I won't even discuss DDO with you, as you're obviously a fan-girl. Still, you like Diet Coke so I guess you can still be salvaged (grin).

Okay listen Mrs. Crying Wolf. The next time you have a title like "omgomgomgomgomg..." there better be something about a manuscript, a publishing date, and champagne!

LMAO!

@Purple: I'm sorry! I didn't even think about that. :o Perhaps I need a disclaimer that I tend to geek out like an insane person about video games. :s

@Eric:

I agree - NWN was the bomb, and the expansions? OMG loved them!

I hated NWN2 the first time I tried to play it. Let it sit for over a year, tried again, and I actually really enjoyed it (except for the ending, which made me want to do homicidal rage and things). But have you played Mask of the Betrayer? The characters...wow!!!! One of Many is about the creepiest things evar - and if you go down a certain story path with him...let's just say I had the most epic battle I've EVER had in NWN or NWN2. Crazy! As for the new "make your own party expansion" for NWN2...GROSS. Worst game ever.

Now DDO? You really don't like it? :( I wonder if you didn't get a good group? Part of what made this game so awesome for me was a tight small group of players, so it really felt like playing a tabletop game with my buddies. I love the loot system - assigned loot = no drama, and no having to play every second of every day to be "eligable" to lot. BAH! Hehehe! The only fall back is the slow content update. But in case you noticed, they just annouced the basic DDO account will be free to play soon, with level cap to 50. So...if you want to try it again, let me know. Once they have the new content and new class up and running, I'll be all over that shit. :)

@M:

I heart BG. But the best game EVAR in the entire UNIVERSE is still Planescape: Torment. And if you've never played it, I'm buying it and sending it to you tomorrow.

The cool thing though is that Bioware is coming out with a New Mass Effect game (I believe it is to come out sometime early 2010). I saw the trailers and it looks freakin' awesome!

Also, they are coming out with another game called Dragon Age. I don't know yet if it is based off of D&D but it might be.

By the way, Planetscape Torment is very cool! I loved that game, as well as the Baldur's Gate as well. My favourite RPG based world though would have to be the Elder Scrolls games by Bethesda Softworks :).

Neverwinter Nights is one of the few I haven't played yet. I've never been much of a PC gamer. I've always heard good things about it though. You know that Bioware is looking for a writer for their Canada location. I guess that's only if you'd really want to move out of the country though.
