3,373 words, putting me 56 words short of halfway!
I'm nearly done chapter 7, in which I'm nearly to the end of a character's life. While originally I was very decided and sure of who would die, I'm now having a slight change of mind.
A death is necessary at this point in the novel, to demonstrate how things work in this world. One death would be easy, and perhaps predictable. The other option might be more shocking, and emotionally difficult (hopefully) for the reader and the characters. The ripples would be wider, for sure. It would change the dynamic of the group of characters greatly, if I chose to off the second choice.
Maybe this is what an evil plot bunny truly is.
